Networking introductions in September

Every month we do something a bit different with our networking introductions. It helps regulars to learn more about you and keeps your introductions fresh and interesting.

In September, we’re asking you to share a tip of value to your ideal client. The aim is to showcase your expertise to potential customers and referrers. Your tip needs to be short and punchy… no more than a couple of sentences.

If it needs further explanation, consider distributing a handout with your tip or a link to a page on your website or a LinkedIn article. Or send a follow up email after the meeting.

Here are some ideas to get you thinking…

What advice have you given to a client that made a big difference? What’s a mistake you often see customers making that you help them overcome? What do you suggest to customers that your competitors miss? What is a question you are frequently asked… with the answer?

A web developer… ask a fellow networker to go looking for some specific information on your website. Ask them for feedback on the search and the results.

An estate agent… if you have a viewing on a dull day put some lights on so your house doesn’t appear dark.

A business coach… don’t take rejection personally. Use it as a learning opportunity and remember not every job is the right job!

A nutritional therapist… could give us an idea for a healthy snack

A personal trainer… could show us one exercise to do at our desk

A financial adviser… could give us one idea for saving a small amount of money that could build cumulatively

Over to you…

Be creative. Share something unexpected. Could you use some humour? How about sharing a customer success story?

Just remember… you have a maximum of two sentences after you’ve used a sentence to tell us what you do.

I’m looking forward to getting pages of tips in my notebook from your September networking introductions!
