We’re delighted to invite you to our new Shrivenham in person business networking group led by Jill Aburrow

Our speaker is Fabulous Networking MD Glenda Shawley whose talk is entitled ‘Networking to support your business growth.’

Our agenda is a mix of informal networking, a speaker and a little learning. Typically this includes…

• Informal networking
• Get to know you activities
• Speaker followed by discussion
• Business development slot
• Testimonials and future events.

Energy and engagement are important at our meetings so you will probably find that the agenda changes a little between each meeting to keep things fresh. Each group leader will add an element of their own personality and experience too. We’ll still offer a structured agenda but with time for conversations.

We have ditched the one minute pitches favoured by so many networking groups as a routine part of our meetings. Instead we use a range of different introductory activities, making them interactive where possible.

All welcome.

Everyone is welcome. No professional restrictions, pressure to refer or attendance rules. We’re a welcoming bunch, and our meetings are typically 10-16 people so even if you are a novice networker they’re not too intimidating. Numbers will probably be a bit below this as we work to establish the group. If you are nervous, or have specific needs, and would like a helping hand please drop me a line with your phone number and we’ll work out how best to support you.

Jill Aburrow is a Human Resources Consultant. Her business is Heartfelt HR and it sums up Jill perfectly. She’s a great believer in kindness and compassion when it comes to business and especially when dealing with your employees. When they feel the love they will give of their best.

Your speaker.

Glenda Shawley is a qualified teacher of adults and an experienced marketer. She worked alongside the previous MD to market Fabulous Networking so when her predecessor decided she could no longer run the network Glenda was too invested to let it go! She just loved the members and what the community stands for.

In this talk she’ll pull together her knowledge of marketing together with her experience networking to give you ideas on how to make networking work for you and your business.

Our venue

Our venue is a family run pub in the heart of Shrivenham village. It is on bus route S6 which runs from Swindon Bus Station to Farringdon Market Place.
