Shrivenham in person business networking 20th February 2024

We’re delighted to invite you to our new Shrivenham in person business networking group led by Jill Aburrow

Rather than a speaker this month we’ll be running a mini-workshop,  ‘Managing your business (instead of it managing you.). This is a highly practical session which has had great feedback when we’ve run it before.

Our agenda is a mix of informal networking, a speaker and a little learning. Typically this includes…

• Informal networking
• Get to know you activities
• Speaker followed by discussion
• Business development slot
• Testimonials and future events.

Energy and engagement are important at our meetings so you will probably find that the agenda changes a little between each meeting to keep things fresh. Each group leader will add an element of their own personality and experience too. We’ll still offer a structured agenda but with time for conversations to allow you to network with other business owners.

We have ditched the one minute pitches favoured by so many networking groups. Our introductions are more informal and participative.

All welcome.

Everyone is welcome. No professional restrictions, pressure to refer or attendance rules. We’re a welcoming bunch, and our meetings are typically 10-16 people so even if you are a novice networker they’re not too intimidating. If you are nervous, or have specific needs, and would like a helping hand please drop me a line with your phone number and we’ll work out how best to support you.

Our venue

The Barrington Arms is a family owned pub and hotel in the centre of Shrivenham. There is on street parking outside the pub and along the High St. The bus between Oxford and Swindon stops right outside. As the pub doesn’t open until noon please walk around the side and enter through the back door.
