Welcome to Fabulous Networking Shrivenham. Supportive business networking for small business owners in the Swindon and South Oxfordshire area.

Join us for a friendly and supportive business networking event in Shrivenham where small business owners come together to build relationships, share inspiration, learning and non-judgmental support.

Fabulous Networking meetings are relaxed but purposeful and welcoming to visitors.

Venue: The Barrington Arms
25 High St, Shrivenham SN6 8AN

Investment: £15 for visitors £12 for members
(paid by cash or card on arrival}

Parking: There is a small car park at the rear of the pub and 3 hours on street parking on the High St. as well as local car parks. The pub is on the main Swindon to Oxford bus route.

Accessibility: As the pub doesn’t open until midday please come down the side of the pub and enter through the back door. A ramp is available but the area we are currently using for our meetings involves a few steps. If this causes you a problem please get in touch and we will do our best to find a solution.

What happens at a Fabulous Networking meeting?

• A warm welcome and informal chat
• Introductions rather than sales pitches. Each month we use a different theme to help everyone understand a little more about who you are and what you do. Introduce your business in 15 words or fewer. This article shares some examples to prompt your thinking.

• Opportunities to share ideas and support one another

Your speaker

Glenda Shawley is Community Lead and Managing Director of Fabulous Networking. She has been running her own businesses for over 30 years and in that time has seen so many benefits from being part of a supportive networking community. Her biggest projects have come when working in collaboration with other professionals in her network. Her greatest lessons and most reliable support have come from her network. That’s why she couldn’t let Fabulous Networking go when the previous owner had to give it up.

Who attends Fabulous Networking Shrivenham?

Meetings usually include 6-8 people, with a mix of regular members and visitors.

Attendees include HR consultants, health and wellbeing professionals, marketing and travel consultants and other small business owners.

Everyone is welcome. We don’t have attendance rules or professional lockouts, and members belong to the wider Fabulous Networking community rather than a single group. We actively encourage new people to try us out.

This morning I attended a fantastic Fabulous Networking session today, expertly run by Jill Aburrow, FCIPD, PGCertEL I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this is networking with a refreshing difference, less about pitching, more about genuine peer support and development. Samantha Newton
