Shrivenham in person business networking 16th April 2024

We’re delighted to invite you to our Shrivenham in person business networking group led by Jill Aburrow. Jill has a real knack for putting people at their ease so even the most nervous networker is able to participate fully.

Our speaker is Felicity Dwyer. Felicity is a learning and development consultant specialising in management and communication and is a published author. Her  talk is entitled,  ‘Enhance your communication through embracing polarities.’

Our agenda is a mix of informal networking, a speaker and a little learning. Typically this includes…

• Informal networking
• Get to know you activities
• Speaker followed by discussion
• Business development slot
• Testimonials and future events.

Energy and engagement are important at our meetings so you will probably find that the agenda changes a little between each meeting to keep things fresh. Each group leader will add an element of their own personality and experience too. We’ll still offer a structured agenda but with time for conversations.

We have ditched the one minute pitches favoured by so many networking groups.

Everyone is welcome. No professional restrictions, pressure to refer or attendance rules. We’re a welcoming bunch, and our meetings are typically 8-12 people so even if you are a novice networker they’re not too intimidating. Jill Aburrow is a Human Resources Consultant. Her business is Heartfelt HR and it sums up Jill perfectly. She’s a great believer in kindness and compassion when it comes to business and especially when dealing with your employees. When they feel the love they will give of their best.

Your speaker.

Felicity Dwyer is a CIPD qualified trainer, an accredited Time to Think Facilitator and a Clean Language Facilitator. Her passion is to facilitate connection, thinking and learning. She is an expert in getting us to think more deeply and in a way that leads to better communication. Her book, ‘Crafting Connection’ is available from all good booksellers.

Our venue

The Barrington Arms is a family owned pub and hotel in the centre of Shrivenham. There is on street parking outside the pub and along the High St. The bus between Oxford and Swindon stops right outside. As the pub doesn’t open until noon please walk around the side and enter through the back door.
