In person business networking – Shrivenham

We’re delighted to invite you to our new Shrivenham in person business networking group led by Jill Aburrow.

Our speaker is Felicity Dwyer. Whose talk is entitled, Business lessons from an author. Felicity is the author of Crafting Connection: Transform how you communicate with yourself and others. In this new talk Felicity will share business lessons that she gained from writing and promoting her book. The ideas are applicable to a wide range of business situations, not just for selling books.

Our agenda is a mix of informal networking, a speaker and a little learning. Typically this includes…

• Informal networking
• Get to know you activities
• Speaker followed by discussion
• Business development slot
• Testimonials and future events.

Energy and engagement are important at our meetings so you will probably find that the agenda changes a little between each meeting to keep things fresh. Each group leader will add an element of their own personality and experience too. We’ll still offer a structured agenda but with time for conversations.

We have ditched the one minute pitches favoured by so many networking groups. We will ask you to complete and submit an attendance form before each meeting so that we can send you an information sheet the night before each meeting. We’ll update this after the meeting if there are any additions.

Everyone is welcome. No professional restrictions, pressure to refer or attendance rules. We’re a welcoming bunch, and our meetings are typically 10-16 people so even if you are a novice networker they’re not too intimidating. Jill Aburrow is a Human Resources Consultant. Her business is Heartfelt HR and it sums up Jill perfectly. She’s a great believer in kindness and compassion when it comes to business and especially when dealing with your employees. When they feel the love they will give of their best.

Your speaker.

Felicity is  a Learning and Development Specialist,  Facilitator , Trainer, Coach and Speaker. She has a happy knack of getting us to think more deeply on issues, behaviours and more. Felicity is our Area Leader for Hampshire and also leads an online group which was well established in Winchester before the pandemic hit.

Our venue

When Jill told me she was looking at the village hall for her new meeting I wondered if it would be fabulous enough! I didn’t imagine the Grade 2 listed beauty that is Shrivenham Memorial Hall. At the heart of Shrivenham the hall was opened in 1925  by Princess Beatrice, daughter of Queen Victoria. The hall has a large car park for those who need to drive and our meeting room is accessible.

Did you know that we plant a tree for every attendee at one of our in person events through our link with Ecologi.
