Welcome to our Alton business networking meeting taking place in person at the fabulous Chawton House.

This is a warm and friendly meeting in a really supportive atmosphere at an inspiring venue. If you are at all worried about walking into a room of strangers, then please contact Adam and he will make it as easy as possible for you.

Meet your Group Leader Adam Buttery

As a Holistic Therapist Adam specialises in treating pain, gently. If it hurts or doesn’t move Adam’s work can help. In his previous life Adam worked in IT and still helps out on an occasional basis. You’re quite likely to encounter Adam arriving at a meeting on his motorbike.

Our venue: Chawton House, Alton, Hampshire

As an inspiring venue for a business meeting Chawton House is hard to beat. Once the home of Jane Austen’s brother, Jane was a frequent visitor. It’s easy to transport yourself back into the world of Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park et al as you walk through the house.

Chawton House is now a centre for research and understanding of early women writers and stages a number of events. The house and gardens are open to visitors from 10-3.30 Wednesday to Sunday. At present booking is required. There is also a tearoom for light lunches or cake. Why not take a bit of time away from your day job to give yourself space to think and be inspired?

Chawton House is over 400 years old so disabled access is not straight forward. The room allocated to us is up a flight and a half of stairs. If this causes you a problem, please get in touch and we will try to negotiate a more accessible space.
