Grow your business network in Hook and beyond

There’s an old saying that it’s not what you know but who you know that counts. We agree. Our aim is to create the best connections in Hook and surrounding areas. Connections to people who will support you and your business. They might become your customers, your advocates and, very likely, your friends.

Fabulous Networking is a membership organisation, but visitors are always welcome. We don’t restrict attendance by profession or gender. We believe that there are opportunities to be gained by working with our competitors. Visitors are encouraged to attend up to three of our events before deciding if they’d like to join.

Your attendance fee is £15 (£12 for members) to cover venue and light refreshments.

There’s time for informal networking and to introduce your business to everyone present. We don’t do the traditional one-minute pitch. Instead, we find ways to be more spontaneous and interactive. Each month we do something a little different.

In May we are asking you to describe the results or outcomes you help your clients to achieve. This article might get you thinking.

Our agenda is structured but flexible to respond to the needs and size of the group on the day. Typically we will have a speaker on a topic of interest to business people. Our speaker will be brand photographer Gabi Swift who will pose the question, ‘Ever wonder why some profiles just pop? She’ll tell us why it’s not magic but strategy.’ I’m pretty sure this will lead to plenty of discussion especially after Charlotte’s brand voice talk last month.

Support, learning and inspiration are three of our core values and will be woven through the meeting. We want you to leave feeling it was a morning well spent.

Your speaker

Gabriele Swift is an international Brand Photographer with a passion for capturing the strength and essence of your business: empowering business owners through visual storytelling.

First impressions count, and a headshot is the window to a business. This needs to be an authentic portrait focusing on the
business owner and/or the employees.

Humans are visual creatures; how you portray your personal brand to your customers ultimately shapes how you will be seen.

Claire Johnson is the driving force behind Bluebell Bookkeeping and Admin. She is an avid networker and a big believer that working with your competitors has many advantages.

Our venue

We’re meeting at the Coach and Horses in Rotherwick, a lovely country pub on the outskirts of Hook. There’s ample parking but if you need help with transport please email Glenda and we’ll try to connect you to a lift.
