Ealing in person business networking 8th March 2024

We’re ringing the changes for this month.

Our meeting will be one week later than usual to avoid a clash with a conference in Bournemouth at which we are sponsoring the networking. A number of Ealing businesswomen and Fabulous Networking members attend this conference.

We’re also meeting in a different venue in the heart of Ealing. Rayuela is a Spanish restaurant in the newish Dickens Yard development. We will have exclusive use of the space until noon when the restaurant opens for lunch. HINT: you might like to stay on for a one to one over lunch but do make sure to reserve your table.

Our agenda

Our agenda is designed to provide a mix of connection, support and learning. It’s a mix of informal networking and structure and flexible enough to respond to the needs and wishes of the group on the day. We don’t do the 60 second pitches favoured by many networking organisations.  Instead we will find another more engaging way to hear about each other’s businesses.

This month, as it’s International Women’s Day, we’re going to ask you to tell us about a woman who has made a difference in your business. Perhaps she has inspired you. She might have taught you the key lessons that make you who you are. Could she be a key client or an influencer. Does she play a key role within the business? Who is she and how has she helped you in your business?

Most months we have a speaker to share a topic of interest to business owners, today that speaker is beauty salon owner Agnes Gaudron.

Your speaker

We all know Agnes Gaudron as a dynamic beauty therapist and champion of organic products. Agnes is about to embark on a new business journey. She is in the process of selling her Ealing salon and retraining as a death doula. She will be returning to her native France and helping people to have a ‘good death’.

Agnes is going to be sharing many of the business lessons she has learned over the years.

Your Group Leader

Glenda Shawley was a member of this group before Fabulous Networking existed! Yes the group started life with another, now defunct, networking organisation more than 12 years ago. Not only has Glenda loved the community so much she wanted to stay for 12 years but she is now its MD!

Glenda’s mission in life is to help people who want to run a small business to succeed. She’s a qualified trainer of adults, an experienced marketer and a real supporter of business owners.

Your venue

Rayuela means hopscotch in Spanish and that is the concept of their menu. It’s a sharing menu based on tapas with plates varying in size from small to substantial. I’ve really enjoyed the meals I’ve had there. There’s a daily changing, set lunch menu at £22 which could be perfect for a 1-2-1 following the meeting.

Rayuela is a short walk from Ealing Broadway station and the Central, District and Elizabeth lines and National Rail. It is close to all major bus routes through Ealing. There is also an underground car park accessible from Longfield Rd. N.B. There are restrictions turning into and out of Longfield Rd. and the council makes a lot of money from people getting it wrong. We suggest entering and exiting from the Gordon Rd. end.

Your investment

The meeting fee is £10 which covers a hot drink and light snacks. This a tax deductible expense and receipts will be issued.
