Alton online business networking 16th August 2023

Our Alton group has its roots in Hampshire but because it is currently online people do join us from a much wider area. You will be welcome wherever you are based.

A typical Alton agenda includes…

• Informal networking
• Get to know you activities
• A speaker who this month is… Cathie O’Dea with a talk entitled ‘What is a Celebrant?’
• A business development session

This is a warm and friendly meeting in a really supportive atmosphere.

We’ll use a mix of break-out rooms and whole group activities to give you the chance to showcase what you do and build relationships with other attendees.

All welcome

If you have a leadership role in business or are thinking of starting a business then this meeting could be for you. We don’t operate professional lockouts. We believe there are opportunities in collaboration even with our competitors.

Meet your speaker Cathie O’Dea

Cathie spent most of her working life in the travel industry. She loves travel and could share her first hand experiences with her clients. Sadly the pandemic was the final straw for a business that had already been battered by the internet. During lockdown Cathie turned an artistic side hustle into a business as The Baubleist. This year she has trained as a funeral celebrant and in this talk she’ll share what that means and why a celebrant might be the right choice if you are organising a funeral.

Meet your Group Leader Adam Buttery

As a Holistic Therapist Adam specialises in treating pain, gently. If it hurts or doesn’t move Adam’s work can help. In his previous life Adam worked in IT and still helps out on an occasional basis.
