Our Group Leaders are the cogs that keep the wheels of Fabulous Networking turning. Without them we couldn’t run a networking community and I am forever grateful to them. I wish I could clone them! But I can’t so I’m on the look out for more people like them.
What makes them special?
They love people. They enjoy networking. They want to share their knowledge, experience, ideas and contacts to help others to succeed in business.
They are positive, engaging people. They’re thoughtful and kind. They’re team players and natural leaders. They run their own businesses or manage teams/projects in professional firms.
Money is not their main motivation. They want to help. They want to support you, me, and the community.
They work as a team even without my interference! There were four Group Leaders supporting Claire at the launch of Hook in February. (There’d have been a fifth if she could have been in two places at once!) That’s four from seven and they don’t all live in Hook! I didn’t need to ask them to help Claire when she had 26 booked for her second meeting, they just did it.
That makes them special, and I am hugely grateful to them.
Is this a team you would like to be a part of?
I can’t promise it will make you rich. It won’t!
You will get free membership of Fabulous Networking and half price attendance at in person meetings (or the venue cost price if that is higher). You get to keep any profits from attendance fees for your own meetings. The better the deal you can agree with the venue and the more people you can attract to your meetings the more money you will make.
You’ll get lots of support from me. I’ll provide you with marketing materials, physical and digital. I’ll list your meetings on our website, social media, and listings sites. Your meetings will be included in our weekly newsletters, and I’ll send 2-3 targeted emails each month to invite people to your meetings. And I will come to your meetings as often as possible.
What’s your role?
You will need to find a venue that can accommodate your meeting at the time you want to hold it (most groups meet from 10a.m. to noon) and at a price that makes the meeting affordable. (We’ll provide you with guidance if you are interested)
You’ll help to build the group through your own contacts and marketing activities (we can provide templates and ideas and share what’s worked for others.)
We ask you to run the meeting in line with our brand values… support, collaboration, inspiration, learning and sustainability. We have a framework for our meetings, but you have the freedom to adapt that to your personal style. All we need is that your attendees will be safe, comfortable, inspired and know that they’ve been to a Fabulous Networking event.
Our Group Leaders are in business, they have families, and they enjoy time off. They don’t want Fabulous Networking to be a second job. An hour or two a month on top of the 2.5/3 hours taken to run the meeting is about what most people spend. And remember you can be promoting your own business whilst leading your group.
What’s in it for you?
Fun, friendship, and a higher profile for your own business. Your confidence is likely to grow, and you’ll probably feel better about speaking out in public.
You’ll be a key cog in an ambitious networking community and as such will be able to help shape our future.
We aim to get Group Leaders together in person 2-3 times a year to share ideas, challenges, and friendship. Lunch is on me.
What’s next?
If you’re interested in becoming part of the team, or if you know someone who might be, let’s have a chat. I’m happy to meet in person or on Zoom, whichever works best for you. A chat commits you to nothing! It’s about exploring whether we would be a good fit for each other.
If you want to speak to one or more of our existing leaders before sticking your head above the parapet, please do. They’re all on LinkedIn and their names are on our website or you could just ask me, and I’ll gladly put you in touch.
Call me on 07710 325505 or email me.
I’d really love to hear from you.
