What would happen to your business if you were suddenly taken ill? What if you needed to take some unplanned time out for caring responsibilities?
Most of us prefer not to think of worst case scenarios but if we don’t plan for them we may not have a business to come back to. And in the very worst case scenario we can leave our families with a can of worms to deal with. Would you really want that?
This session will look at how you can plan for emergencies even as a one person led business. We’ll consider…
- who can help in an emergency
- communicating with customers and others affected by your absence
- accessing your systems, procedures and accounts
- creating your ‘black box continuity plan’
We’ll have some expert input from John Edward who will have us consider how a lasting power of attorney may be made to work for our businesses.
This is an interactive session where we’ll be sharing ideas, and tools where appropriate. The aim is that you will leave the session with a personalised plan that will create your own emergency system. You may even find the back-up help you need from within the network.
